What the Register is
The permanent, public record of the Institute: every rank conferred, by whom, on what date; every mentor of record; every masterpiece submitted, its judges, and their written decision.
Why it is public
A closed society has criteria that cannot be written down and a membership that cannot be seen. We do the opposite of both. If a rank from this Institute is going to mean anything at all, it has to be checkable by someone who does not trust us.
So the criteria are published before you begin, the judges are named, the decisions are written, and the roll is open. Nothing here depends on taking our word for it.
What is recorded

Your control over it
You choose the name you are entered under, and you can be entered by initials if you prefer. You can ask for your entry to be withdrawn from public view at any time without losing the standing itself. We publish the work and the judgement, never your address, your payment history, or anything you told a tutor in confidence.
Current state
The Register opens when the first ranks are conferred. It is empty today, and we would rather say so than fill it with examples.
